Mixtape Hot Sauce – Carrot Habanero

Ingredients:
White Vinegar, Water, Carrot, Serrano Peppers, Mango Pulp, Habanero Peppers, Scallion, Bell Peppers, Cilantro, Coconut Oil, Sea Salt, Brown Sugar, Lime Juice, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Thyme, Xanthan Gum
So I had already been working on products for Grades of Absolute Truth and MC Astro, and had just started working on Chef Key’s Texas Pebre, and it came to mind that all of us had worked together previously. In 2010, Poor Vida did a big hip hop tour around the country and we brought along our own MC Astro, along with our favorite Dallas artists on The Southern Elements Tour. So if we’re gonna do a project with half the Southern Elements artists, why not bring back the whole gang? Jackrabbit James was the only one missing, and already had a name that was gonna lend itself perfectly to Hot Sauce. Carrots couldn’t NOT be in this one. I had initially thought of names like Farm Fresh and Garden Raid, and though we wound up keeping the name simple, the idea of using the whole damn garden stayed with me. Carrots, Mangoes, Habaneros, Scallion… that’s just the first half. This extra tangy hot sauce was ambitious in the ingredient deck, but came out Fresh!

This is probably one of the most versatile sauces in the lineup, along with Cherry Limeade. Its super bright, and has a nice bite to it.
