SMH Old Fashioned
This Poor Vida Crafted Cocktail is a spicy twist on the traditional Old Fashioned. Grab your favorite bourbon (our current go-to is Four Roses Small Batch), and pair it with a bit of Poor Vida simple syrup, and try out this delicious twist on an old favorite. Cheers!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2oz Bourbon
- .5oz Strawberry Mint Habanero Simple Syrup
- 3 dashes bitters (we prefer Angostura Orange Bitters)
- Large Ice Cube
- Garnish with twist of Orange Peel & Luxardo / Cocktail Cherry (optional)
RECIPE:
- Add bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass along with a handful of regular ice.
- Stir very well for 30 seconds.
- Strain stirred mixture into a rocks glass over 1 large ice cube.
- Garnish with a small piece of orange peel (cut, twist peel, and drop on top) and cocktail cherry if chosen.
- If you prefer your cocktail sweeter, feel free increase the amount of syrup before mixing.
